We are a 160 pupil primary school nestled in the heart of West Cork on the R599 between Clonakilty and Dunmanway.   The school was built in 1972 as a result of the amalgamation of Rossmore and Ballingurteen National Schools into Rossmore Central School which is better known today as Kilmeen National School.  

The school was officially opened in September 1972 and in 2010, the Minister for Education and Science, Mr. Batt O’Keeffe T.D. officially opened the state of the art extension to the school.
